    Suspect in killing

    charged from prison

ST. JOHNSBURY — One of the Vermont men charged with killing a Sheffield woman is facing charges he tried to contact his ex-girlfriend from prison.

Twenty-three-year-old Michael Norrie pleaded not guilty Monday to charges he made three telephone calls from prison to his ex-girlfriend in violation of a court order.

The Caledonian Record reported that court documents say Norrie called his ex-girlfriend on April 27. Police say the woman did not accept the calls.

Norrie is charged with first-degree murder and other offenses stemming from the September 2010 abduction and killing of 78-year-old Pat O’Hagan of Sheffield. Two of Norrie’s cousins have pleaded not guilty to the same charges.
