Restorative justice program at senior center May 20
MONTPELIER — A program on restorative justice practices will be presented Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center, featuring representatives from the city’s Community Justice Center.
It will cover how restorative justice works and how it is implemented either along with or in lieu of the criminal justice system. Stories will be shared that demonstrate how this approach to criminality restores relations, increases safety, and fosters understanding, democratic ideals and tolerance, according to a news release about the event.
