FAYSTON — A Waitsfield resident has been cited by Vermont State Police on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

State police say Benjamin Plewak, 38, lost control of his vehicle March 16 on Bragg Hill Road in Fayston and hit a telephone pole, snapping the pole in half. Police say he failed to contact them after the crash and was cited Monday.

Plewak is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court May 29.
