WILLIAMSTOWN — Vermont State Police say icy conditions caused a two-car crash Sunday on Interstate 89 in Williamstown.

Gregory Vredenburgh, 26, of Burlington, was northbound when state police say he lost control of the vehicle and spun into a snowbank. A short time later, police say, Nikisha Patel, 24, of South Burlington, approached Vredenburgh’s vehicle and also lost control, rear-ending him.

Police say Patel was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin with injuries that were not life-threatening.
