LYNDON — The swimming pool at Lyndon State College is going to be heated with the help of 72-solar water heating panels that were donated to the school.
The panels were donated to Lyndon State by the hardware and home supply store Sticks and Stuff. They are being removed from a building in Derby.
It would have cost Lyndon State about $100,000 to buy the solar powered pool heating equipment.
It will cost the school about $85,000 to move the panels and prepare the building where they will be used. Lyndon expects the panels to save the school about $11,400 a year.MORE IN Vermont NewsBURLINGTON — Vermont has a new chief federal prosecutor. Lawyer Eric Miller was sworn in as U.S. Full Story
