WATERBURY - Vermont State Police will be tweeting about police work and issues they face in a 24-hour tweet-a-thon involving nearly 100 law enforcement agencies around the world.

The second global tweet-a-thon this year starts on Friday at 8 a.m.

Vermont State Police Spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro says their goal is to help positively influence the rapidly growing use of social media by public safety agencies while allowing the public to have positive interactions with troopers through Twitter.
