Broadcaster to be
feted in Middlebury
MIDDLEBURY — A longtime Vermont broadcaster is going to be recognized for his half century of work on the state’s airwaves.
Joel Najman will be celebrated Saturday with a ’60s-themed dance party at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury, where he will be playing tunes from the 1960s and sharing stories.
There will be prizes for the best ’60s hairdo, a twister tournament and go-go dancers.
Admission will be by donation of nonperishable foods for an Addison County organization known as HOPE, which stands for Helping Overcome Poverty’s Effects.
Najman first began broadcasting in Vermont in 1964. He was inducted into the Vermont Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2004.
Last April, Najman was honored with a resolution by the Vermont Legislature.MORE IN Vermont NewsWHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Police said a drug suspect broke curfew and led officers on a two-hour... Full Story
