BARRE — A Granite City man has admitted fondling a 13-year-old girl in 2004.

Lee V. Bradeen, 28, pleaded guilty to felony lewd and lascivious conduct with a child as well as four violations of probation in Washington County criminal court in Barre on Tuesday. As part of the plea, Bradeen has agreed to a sentence of two to seven years to serve but will have to wait for a presentence investigation to be completed before he starts his sentence.

A charge of sexual assault was dropped under the agreement.

According to the police affidavit, Bradeen fondled the girl on a porch at Highgate Apartments.

The delay in the case was because Bradeen fled the state for Oregon in 2005 and was not located by U.S. Marshals until July 2012.
