HIGHGATE — Anyone traveling across the U.S.-Canadian border this weekend is being advised to leave some extra time to get to their destination.
Border crossings at Highgate, Vt., Champlain, N.Y., and elsewhere are expected to be very busy with holiday weekend travelers.
To speed things up, travelers are advised to have their documents in hand before reaching the primary inspection booth, and end cellphone calls.
