BARNET — Vermont State Police said another day of searching the Passumpsic River failed to find the body of a 22-year-old man presumed to have drowned after a canoe overturned.

Police are searching for the body of Zachary Florio, of Passumpsic.

Police said 33-year-old Michael Dalton, of Sutton, and 29-year-old Jessica Florio, of Barnet, were with Zachary Florio on Wednesday afternoon when the boat overturned but managed to swim to shore.

Police said the search has been scaled back for the weekend.
