• Vt. man accused of having 1,200 bags of heroin

    FAIR HAVEN, Vt. (AP) A Vermont man has been accused of having 1,200 bags of heroin in his car.

    Police arrested 31-year-old Kenneth Trapp of Castleton in Fair Haven on Tuesday.

    State Police pulled Trapp over on Route 4 for a routine traffic stop. They obtained a search warrant and found the bags.

    Trapp was taken into custody and later released to the custody of federal authorities.
