BARRE — Members of Spaulding High School’s Junior ROTC Drill Team will get some high-profile practice in the run-up to their participation in a national competition next month.
The students have been invited to Fenway Park on Thursday to present the colors as the Boston Red Sox open a four-game series with the Houston Astros. The game is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
The so-called Granite Battalion has a much longer road trip coming soon. The team is scheduled to travel to Daytona Beach, Fla., on May 4 to compete in the National High School Drill Team Championships.
