• Fire destroys Georgia, Vt., home

    GEORGIA — Vermont officials say fire has burned down a home in Georgia.

    Firefighters responded to the remote home on Goodrich Hill Road on Wednesday afternoon. WCAX-TV reported that when they got there, the house had started to collapse and quickly burned down.

    Fire officials said the homeowners were both at work at the time. Vermont State Police investigators have been called in to determine the cause of the fire. .
