• Open letter about the Vt Veterans’ Home
    April 10,2013

To the employees of the Vermont Veterans’ Home:

To say I am proud of your accomplishments during this most recent survey is an understatement. Since my appointment as the president of the board, which I must say was during tumultuous times, I have had the pleasure of seeing you come together as a team.

The final results of the survey did not come to me as a surprise, but as a relief and vindication of your everyday efforts. As you are well aware, I visit the home frequently. This high level of care and support to our veterans and members is exactly what I observe each and every day. It is extremely gratifying to see you recognized for your efforts; it is wonderful. I would like to capitalize on this opportunity to bring us all a little closer together. Widen the lines of communication together. And show to all, we are the finest veterans home in the country; together.

    My thanks and gratitude.
