• Montpelier Police Log: Bicycles, wallets, licenses are lost and found

    The following is a sampling of calls to Montpelier police in recent days.



    March 25

    A vehicle ran out of gas in the middle of the road at the intersection of College Street and Sibley Avenue.

    At Blanchard Court, a silver key ring containing four keys and a remote door lock was found.

    A driver’s license was found in a snowbank and brought to the police station on Pitkin Court.

    March 26

    Dogs were loose on First Avenue.

    Two cars clipped side mirrors at the intersection of Barre and Nelson streets.



    March 27

    A brown zippered wallet was found on State Street.

    Someone stole a package of medical supplies on Prospect Street.

    A silver Trek mountain bike was stolen from Liberty Street.

    On River Road, a brown leather tri-fold wallet was lost.

    March 28

    A black wallet was lost on Main Street.

    On Main Street, a key was found.

    A blue Samsung phone was found on Main Street.



    March 29

    A black Specialized mountain bike was found on River Street.

    On River Street, a vehicle was hit by a box that fell out of a truck.

    A license plate was found on State Street.

    On Elm Street, a bicycle was stolen.



    March 30

    A ring was stolen on Elm Street.

    A two-car accident occurred on Main Street around 11:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

    Kids were skateboarding off the front steps of the Police Department on Pitkin Court.

    A driver’s license was found on Main Street.



    March 31

    A dog ran off at the intersection of Elm Street and Ballfield Drive.



    The following is a sampling of citations Montpelier police issued in recent days.

    On March 25, Chelsea Parker, 24, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license and Linda Quintana, 45, was cited on suspicion of writing a bad check.

    On March 30, Crystal E. Mayotte, 32, was arrested on warrants for being a fugitive from justice and failing to appear in court.
