Thanks to voters
This letter is written to the towns in our service area which approved an appropriation to our organization, RSVP, at the annual town meeting. We are extremely appreciative of your positive vote, especially at a time when towns are being squeezed financially from many sides.
While you may know that the appropriation was approved, you may not know that we made a commitment over 12 years ago to never ask our town partners for any increases. We have honored that commitment, even though our other funding pots have decreased by over 20 percent for each of the last two years.
The town funds act as a base for some of our other funds. They are important in our total effort, but we don’t see it as a way to make up ground when other funds go away. Thank you for your continued support.
If you are interested in volunteering, you can contact us through our website at www.volunteervt.com, or call 802-828-4770 and we will direct you to the correct individual. Thank you.
