Linda Sweet

NORTHFIELD — Linda Bell (Sumner) Sweet, 69, of Thompson, Conn., passed away on Feb. 7, 2013, at UMass Hospital in Worcester, Mass.

Linda was born on Nov. 18, 1943, in Barre, the daughter of Lawrence and Leona (Champany) Sumner. In her early years, she attended the Northfield Falls Methodist Church.

Linda was a hard worker and a creative person. She enjoyed gardening, music and sharing her crafts with family and friends. She was also a loving caregiver to all those in her life, including her dog, Roxy.

Linda is survived by one brother, Lawrence Sumner Jr., one nephew, four nieces, many great-nieces and -nephews.

Private services will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery in Northfield this spring.

Kingston Funeral Home in Northfield is assisting with the arrangements.
