MONTPELIER — A man’s body was found in Hubbard Park around 11:20 a.m. Sunday.
Parks Director Geoff Beyer said the man, possibly in his 40s, was found on a rear terrace near the tower, but officials determined the man had not fallen from the structure. Montpelier Fire Chief Bob Gowans said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police would not provide any details of the incident Monday, in part because the person’s family had not been notified.
Beyer said there were no signs of trauma. A couple had found the man, he said.
“To me, the impressions in the snow looked like someone who had been sitting there for a while,” Beyer said. “There was no sign of ... serious injury, not even slight injury.”MORE IN This Just InBURLINGTON — A woman accused of giving drugs to a woman who overdosed and died and a man who...
