Kathleen A. Murtagh Rites
WILLIAMSTOWN — The life celebration for Kathleen Ann Murtagh, of Felicity, was held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre. She died Feb. 21, 2013, at the Rowan Court Health and Rehabilitation Center in Barre.
The Rev. Rebecca Strader, pastor of the Graniteville Presbyterian Church, led the service. She was assisted by Priscilla Minkin, chaplain of Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice.
Friend and hospice volunteer Cary Friberg read an excerpt from Mary Oliver’s poem, “What Can I Say?” that had a special meaning for both of them. A poem that Kathy had written, “Bury Me at Sunset,” was read by Amanda Shiverick.
