LYNDON — Vermont’s Caledonia County airport has undergone a facelift.
There’s a new conference room, waiting area, and two gas fireplaces. The airport has energy-efficient windows and doors, new wiring and insulation and a new heating system.
Long-time pilot Robert Jauch told the Caledonian-Record that the small airport can now take most turboprops and can accommodate small jets. It has a 3,100-foot runway.
The Lyndon airport was once considered the “red-headed step-child” among regional airports in Vermont, according to Guy Rouelle, Vermont’s state aeronautics director. But he says the name no longer fits.MORE IN Vermont NewsA hearing officer with the Public Service Board has recommended state approval for Vermont... Full StoryCouple deny arson charge Full Story -
