Asiana House to open today in Montpelier
MONTPELIER — The Burlington-based Asiana House is opening its Montpelier location today.
Gary Ma and his wife, Sandra Tan, are launching the 50-plus-seat restaurant, which includes a sushi bar, after months of modifying a State Street space once occupied by Chittenden Bank and more recently Capitol Grounds.
The restaurant will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
The property is managed by Jesse Jacobs through Montpelier Property Management and owned by Overlake Park LLC, also part of the family real estate company. Jacobs said that in trying to encourage the restaurant owners to open a new location, he had about half of the restaurant space renovated.
Ma said he began construction in November, adding kitchen equipment. He said that once the restaurant opens, he’ll work six days a week in Montpelier.
The restaurant’s Montpelier location on the corner of Elm Street will share the same name and a nearly identical menu as the Burlington flagship.MORE IN This Just InMONTPELIER — An investigation has concluded that a Vermont state trooper was justified in...
