• Montpelier Police Log: Possible intruder reported

    The following is a sampling of calls as reported to Montpelier police in recent days.



    Feb. 11

    A vehicle was following another vehicle too closely and driving aggressively on River Street.

    The Department of Public Works was called out due to icy roads.

    A two-car accident occurred at the intersection of Charles and Foster streets around 9 p.m. No injuries were reported.



    Feb. 12

    A neighbor’s dog was on a woman’s property barking on Main Street.

    On Center Street, a black Labrador named Maggie ran off.

    A woman’s vehicle ran out of gas on Ballfield Drive.

    Two pairs of earrings were stolen on State Street.

    A woman believed someone was in her house on Blackwell Street.

    A two-car accident occurred on Berlin Street around 5:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.

    Some kind of animal was under a woman’s porch on Hill Street.



    Feb. 13

    A set of keys was found on Main Street.

    Someone stole a wheel from the “sculptcycle” at the intersection of Main and Spring streets.

    A two-car accident occurred at the intersection of Elm and Spring streets around 12:15 p.m. No injuries were reported.

    The traffic lights were not working at the intersection of Memorial Drive and National Life Drive.



    Feb. 14

    A two-car accident occurred on National Life Drive around 8:45 a.m. No injuries were reported.

    A purse was found at the intersection of Main and State streets.

    A two-car accident happened on River Street around 4:15 p.m. No injuries were reported.



    Feb. 15

    An explosion was heard near State Street around 8:30 a.m.

    A worker was almost hit by a vehicle on Main Street.

    A two-car accident occurred on State Street around 4:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.



    Feb. 16

    A neighbor’s dog was on a woman’s property again on Main Street.

    Someone hit a deer with their vehicle on Berlin Street.

    A vehicle was all over the road at the intersection of Berlin and River streets.



    Feb. 17

    There was lots of water and ice on Main Street.

    A Verizon Samsung cellphone was found on State Street.



    The following is a sampling of citations Montpelier police issued in recent days.

    On Feb. 11, Timothy J. Senter, 54, was cited on a charge of disorderly conduct. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court March 28 to answer the charge.

    On Feb. 13, Harry Louis Gallagher Jr., 73, was cited on a charge of driving under the influence. He is to appear in Washington County criminal court Feb. 28.

    On Feb. 14, Ryan F. McCain, 26, was cited on a charge of driving under the influence. He is to appear in Washington County criminal court March 7.

    On Feb. 16, Ariel N. Pascoe, 20, was cited on a charge of possession of a malt beverage. She is to appear in Washington County criminal court March 28.
