Wal-Mart project’s start is on track



Regarding the story Feb. 6 about Wal-Mart’s expansion, I would like to correct the record.

The headline read, “Wal-Mart expansion project is delayed.” The commencement of the construction work for the expansion of the Wal-Mart is by no means delayed. As the lawyer for the Berlin Mall, I appeared at the Berlin Select Board meeting merely to update community leaders on the status of upgrades to the traffic signals at the Fisher Road intersection. We are excited about the forthcoming expansion of the Wal-Mart store at the Berlin Mall. As we make our way through the permitting process, we remain firmly on schedule.
