Laura Bolles Badger Rites
WASHINGTON — A service of remembrance celebrating the life of Laura Lee Bolles Badger, 46, of Vermont Route 110, occurred on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Hedding United Methodist Church in Barre. She died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the Respite House in Williston.
Pastor Tim Sargent of the East Barre Congregational Church officiated. Organist Vicki Gauthier accompanied the congregation in the hymns, “How Great Thou Art,” “Just a Closer Walk With Thee” and “Amazing Grace.”
Laura’s sister Linda Otis, sister-in-law Tracy Smith and niece Abbigail Smith read a poem, “My Special Sister and Aunt.” Cheryl Joslin, sister, also read a poem titled “Our Hearts Will Always Touch.” Family members and friends offering reflections were Brenda Badger, Mercedes Bolles-Joslin, Rodney Elmer, Kimberly Whitcomb, Wendy Morrison, Kasey Miller and Janet Taylor.
Ushers were Chantal Parent, Wendy Tosi, Kimberly Whitcomb, Greg Smith, Cody Wendel, Cheyenne Smith and Forrest Smith. Delegations in attendance represented Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, Lamberton Electric and U-32 students.
Following the service, family and friends gathered at the Canadian Club in Barre Town for a time of fellowship and luncheon.
