    Harold M. French

    RANDOLPH — Harold M. “Frenchy” French, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at his home.

    He was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Randolph, the son of Ervin and Harriet (Jebb) French, and was raised in Bethel. 

    He married Elizabeth “Betty” Eddy in Marshfield on April 29, 1942. 

    He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

    He operated French’s Body Shop in Randolph for over 30 years.

    He was a member of American Legion White River Post 26 and Randolph Rotary Club.

    He enjoyed gardening and puttering.

    Survivors include his wife, of Randolph; two sons, Harold, of Roxbury, and Patrick, of Randolph; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Day Funeral Home.

    Private burial will be at a later date in the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center.
