COLCHESTER — Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a McDonald’s restaurant in Colchester.

Police say the man came into the restaurant shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday carrying a metal bar that he banged on the counter as he demanded money.

When the clerk refused, the man left.

The suspect is described as being about 50 years old and 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a green camouflage hooded sweat shirt. Anyone with information is asked to call Colchester police.
