• Waterbury Police Log: Juveniles have BB guns, others seek beer

    The following is a sampling of incidents the Waterbury Police Department reported handling recently.



    Jan. 28

    A man told police his vehicle was rear-ended around 3:10 p.m. on Waterbury-Stowe Road.

    A car rear-ended a school bus around 3:25 p.m. on South Main Street. No injuries were reported.



    Jan. 31

    A 20-year-old woman who ordered pizza complained that the 29-year-old pizza delivery man, whom she knew, grabbed her buttocks while he was flirting with her. No charges were filed.

    Three juveniles had BB guns near the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters property.

    Four juveniles on a group ski trip from Canada tried to buy beer around 7:55 p.m. at a gas station, then asked people in a parking lot to buy them alcohol.

    Sean M. Noonan, who police said has tried to have false prescriptions filled in the past, returned to the pharmacy at Shaw’s grocery store, prompting a request for a no-trespass order.

    Two boys, both around the age of 16 on the same group ski trip, tried to buy beer around 8:45 p.m. at Shaw’s.

    A room at the Best Western hotel reportedly had the odor of marijuana around 10:50 p.m.



    Feb. 1

    A car window was found shot out at Pilgrim Park Road, possibly by a pellet gun or slingshot. It had happened the previous day, when three windows of vehicles at the state office complex were also shot out. A van’s driver side window at the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters property also was broken Monday, Feb. 4.
