CABOT — A tractor-trailer jackknifed on Route 2 in Cabot early Monday, according to police, causing a four-car accident.
State police said the truck, driven by Zuhdija Husic, 42, of Utica, N.Y., was eastbound. Police said Timothy Sweeney, 49, of Northfield, was driving west in an Agency of Transportation truck and tried to avoid hitting Husic but ended up striking the side of his truck.
Nicole Laprade, 41, of Barre, was driving behind Sweeney and had to swerve off the road to avoid colliding with Sweeney or Husic, police said. Bailee Laplant, 19, of Richmond, was driving east and came down the hill unaware of the accident and struck Sweeney’s vehicle on the driver’s side, police said.
No injuries were reported from the accident. All four vehicles suffered minor to major damage, but all four drivers were wearing their seat belts.MORE IN This Just InBURLINGTON — A woman accused of giving drugs to a woman who overdosed and died and a man who...
