• Waterbury Police Log: Vehicle apparently hits building

    The following is a sampling of incidents as reported recently to the Waterbury Police Department.



    Jan. 20

    A large tree branch was resting on a power line on Wallace Street.



    Jan. 21

    It appeared someone drove into the front corner of a South Main Street building, as indicated by tire tracks and some property damage.

    A man’s children forgot some belongings at his place over the weekend, but when his ex-wife returned with the children she entered his South Main Street residence without permission, the man said. The man, who wanted to file a report, also said she suggested he stole $20 from his daughter and that he was “verbally abusive.”



    Jan. 22

    A 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan was struck around 2:25 p.m. at Shaw’s.

    A family dispute occurred at a Randall Street residence in which a man’s wife threatened to kill him.



    Jan. 23

    A two-car accident occurred around 4:45 p.m. near 820 Waterbury-Stowe Road.

    A purse was found near the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters café.

    A car hit and killed a deer around 8:40 p.m. near 713 Waterbury-Stowe Road.
