Film about A.A. co-founder to be screened at Norwich
NORTHFIELD — Norwich University will screen the new documentary film “Bill W.,” about Norwich alumnus and Alcoholics Anonymous co-founder Bill Wilson, at 7 p.m. Friday in Dole Auditorium.
“Bill W.” tells the story of Wilson, a native Vermonter who was included in Time magazine’s 100 heroes and icons of the 20th century.
According to a movie description, the film features interviews, re-creations and archival material that reveals how Wilson, who became a severe alcoholic during World War I, found a way out of his own addiction and then forged a path for others to follow.
Admission is free. The film will be followed by a question-and-answer period with the filmmaker, Kevin Hanlon.
