• Waterbury Police Log: Several thefts reported around town

    The following is a sampling of incidents as reported to the Waterbury Police Department recently:



    Jan. 6

    A parking problem was reported around 11:35 a.m. on Batchelder Street.

    A man tried to buy a pickup truck and the seller took his money, left a bill of sale with no specific information on it, then took off.



    Jan. 7

    Property was lost on South Main Street.

    A parking problem was reported around 1:40 p.m. on South Main Street.

    An alarm occurred at the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters cafe.



    Jan. 8

    A business reported a travel alarm clock was stolen, and the incident was recorded by video.

    A citizen dispute occurred on South Main Street.



    Jan. 9

    A woman’s ex contacted her at her place of work.



    Jan. 10

    A man was assaulted by his girlfriend’s 18-year-old son, but no weapons were in the Randall Street house.



    Jan. 11

    A Toyota was considered an abandoned vehicle at the Billings Mobil gas station.



    Jan. 12

    A theft occurred on Stowe Street.
