NORTHFIELD — Sock maker Darn Tough Vermont says it just had the most profitable year in its history and that of its 34-year-old parent company, Cabot Hosiery.
In a statement, Darn Tough said a number of new sock products over the last year contributed to the company’s growth and have been enthusiastically received by the market.
“We exceeded sales expectations in all domestic and international territories, and increased our number of distributors. The highly skilled sock-makers in our Northfield, Vt., mill have been critical to Darn Tough’s success, and they will continue to produce all our socks as the company grows,” said President and CEO Ric Cabot, founder of Darn Tough Vermont.MORE IN This Just InDAMASCUS, Va.
