    Shirlene M. Bolles Rites

    EAST BARRE — The service of remembrance for Shirlene M. Bolles, 73, of Garden Street, was held on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the East Barre Congregational Church. She died on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the Rowan Court Health and Rehabilitation Center in Barre.

    The Rev. Tim Sargent, pastor of the church, conducted the service.

    Pianist Karen Winchester led the congregation in the hymns, “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Because He Lives” and “Amazing Grace.”

    The eulogy was given by daughter Cheryl Joslin.

    Granddaughter Mercedes Bolles-Joslin read a poem dedicated to her grandmother.

    Words of remembrance were offered by daughter Linda Otis.

    Shirlene’s brother Ronald Elmer read “A Tribute to My Sister, Shirlene.”

    Following the service, family and friends gathered in the church’s dining room for a time of fellowship and luncheon.

    Arrangements were under the direction of the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre.
