ST. JOHNSBURY — A Montpelier woman is accused of assaulting two corrections officers on New Year’s Eve.
Vermont State Police say Ashley Burchardt, 28, was taken to Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in St. Johnsbury as an “incapacitated individual” with a blood alcohol content of 0.188 percent. Burchardt was combative and refused to take off her jewelry during the intake process, according to police.
State police say she kicked one corrections officer in the groin and spit in another officer’s face.
