MIDDLESEX — A Montpelier man is accused of attempting to elude Vermont State Police by not pulling over on Interstate 89 Saturday.

Darrell Phillips, 51, was southbound in Williston when state police say they received multiple calls about him driving erratically. State police caught up with Phillips but say he did not initially pull over and kept driving until he was in Middlesex.

He is to appear in Washington County criminal court Feb. 21 to answer the charge.
