Because of a transcription mistake in preparing the commentary that ran in the Dec. 30 Times Argus and Rutland Herald, I greatly overstated the diesel fuel burned by the Craftsbury Outdoor Center for its snowmaking operation. The correct figure is 2,600 gallons, resulting in 56,000 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions.

I regret the error.
