New Year’s crash
results in charges

WATERBURY — A Waterbury man is facing criminal charges following an early-morning crash at a local trailer park early on New Year’s Day.
According to police, Steven Parker, 35, will be charged with negligent operation after the low-speed collision on East Wind Drive moments after midnight on Dec. 31.
Parker allegedly drove his vehicle into another driven by Joshua Erwin, 29, of Waterbury, after a passenger in Erwin’s vehicle threw a beer can at his car.
According to police, both vehicles sustained minor damage and no one was injured when Parker allegedly tried to block Erwin from leaving the trailer park.
