    Staff report

ST. JOHNSBURY — Both drivers reportedly walked away from a two-car crash on a snow-slicked section of Severance Hill Road on Sunday morning.

Vermont State Police said the accident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. when Thomas Blake, 19, of Newport lost control of his 2001 Subaru Legacy on a slippery section of highway.

Blake’s car slid across the centerline and into the path of a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle driven by Elaine French, 65, of Littleton, N.H., police said. The cars collided and both were heavily damaged.
