Dr. Roderick M. Goyette Rites

BARRE TOWN — The service of remembrance and life celebration for Dr. Roderick M. Goyette DMD, of Beckley Hill Road was recognized Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street Barre. He died December 28, 2012 at the Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin.

The Rev. Leopold Bilodeau, pastor of St. Monica Catholic Church, led the service, assisted by hearing interpreter, Barbara Walker. He also led the congregation in the hymns “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.”

Words of thanks and memories were offered by his daughter Joni Goyette Calcagni, stepdaughter Jane Cavazza and family friend Robert McLeod.

The flag was presented to his daughter Joni by longtime Goyette family friend Bruce W. Judd.

Interment was made in the Hope Cemetery.

Fellowship and a time of recollection followed at the Hilltop Restaurant in Barre Town.
