    BOYS BASKETBALL

    Hartford 55, U-32 51

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — The Hurricanes got a strong defensive effort and avenged last week’s loss to the Raiders.

Hartford led 36-24 at the half and extended it to 17 before U-32 came back and took a two-point lead with 1:50 to go.

“We really executed in the end and made some free throws,” Hartford coach Steve Landon said.

The key to the game, though, was containing U-32’s Ryan Booth. He had 27 points in the Raiders 20-point win but was held to 12.

“Those guys did a great job locking him up tonight and limiting his shots,” Landon said.

Nick Fucci had 14 points for the 3-2 Hurricanes and Cameron Gaudette added 12.

Booth Chris Collins led the Raiders with 12 apiece.
