MONTPELIER — Three people were cited for driving while intoxicated Saturday and one on Friday, police said in a news release.

At 11:20 p.m. Saturday on Berlin Street, John F. Haynes, 45, of Middlesex, was stopped for speeding. According to police, a sobriety test determined he was above the legal limit. He was scheduled to go before Washington Superior Court on Dec. 20.

Victor A. Cousino, 49, of Bristol, registered a blood alcohol content of 0.181 after his vehicle almost crashed into the guardrails and was seen driving erratically around 5:41 p.m. Saturday on State Street. He too was scheduled to appear in Washington Superior Court on Dec. 20.

Emmalee J. Shover, 22, of Mitchell, Ind., was stopped around 12:50 a.m. Saturday on Main Street because the headlights of her vehicle were off, police said. According to the authroities, a sobriety test determined she was above the legal limit. She was
scheduled to go before Washington Superior Court on Dec. 27.

Samich L. Boyd, 25, of Montpelier, registered a blood-alcohol content of .171 after being stopped around 11:46 p.m. Friday on Memorial Drive. Police said Boyd was also scheduled to answer the charge in Washington Superior Court Dec. 27.

Morgan E. Brackett, of Waitsfield, was arrested for impeding a police officer at McDonald’s and Joshua N. Brackett, of Waitsfield, was cited for unlawful trespass, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest after an altercation with a Berlin police officer there last week, police said.
