BARRE A man has been cited on a charge of failing to comply with the responsibility to report as a sex offender after Vermont State Police say they received a tip from the Vermont Crime Information Center that a registered sex offender had moved without notifying the registry.

Paul C. Johnson, 31, had an address listed in Plainfield, but the tip said he was now living in Barre. The state police said those on the registry have to notify the state of any changes of address within three days of moving.

Johnson is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court Jan. 10 to answer the charge.
