BARRE — The Barre Lions Club will sell Christmas trees on South Barre Road across from the M&M Beverage Center Friday through Sunday.

Trees cost $30. Proceeds will benefit local Lions Club efforts, including the support they provide to those in need of eyeglasses and hearing aids.

This year more than 100 area residents have received glasses through the program, and the club has donated $20,000 to various community organizations.

Sale hours are noon to dark on Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
