Priorities are off-base

I read in the Nov. 28 Times Argus of Gov. Shumlin’s legislative goals. Is he from the same planet as the rest of Vermont?

Is a death with dignity law one of your priorities Vermont? Maybe we should put on our license plates “Live Free or Death with Dignity.”

Do we really need drivers on our roads legally under the influence of marijuana? Is the possession law going to include out-of-state residents? Which foliage season will they come to Vermont for — October maple or Mexican gold?

Finally, who are the day care providers going to unionize against? Will they be protecting themselves against the state inspectors who can close down a provider if they say the word “no” to a child? Or is the governor trying to make Vermont the Detroit of child care?
