WEBSTERVILLE — A Mass of Christian burial was concelebrated Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at 3 p.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre for Rejeanne L. Baril, 85, of Bolster Road, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at her home.
The principal celebrant was the Rev. Leopold J. Bilodeau, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Andrew Bednarowicz, parochial vicar of St. Sylvester Catholic Church of Graniteville.
Crucifer Lawrence Reilly was altar server and led the Prayer of the Faithful.
Organist and soloist Rosemary Badeau accompanied vocalists Romeo Bilodeau and Ronald Routhier in the hymns, “Glory and Praise to Our Lord,” “Shepherd Me, O God,” “Your Words, Lord, Are Spirit and Life,” “Hail Mary, Gentle Woman,” “Ave Maria,” “Song of Farewell” and “J’irai La Voir Un Jour.”
Scripture readings from the Old Testament were read by Stephen Phillips, nephew, and Shannon Phillips, niece, read Scriptures from the New Testament.
Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Claire Baril and Denise Newton, both daughters, and Donald Baril and Dennis Baril, both sons.
Words of remembrance were offered by Michelle Baril, niece.
Pallbearers were Michael Baril, Paul Lamberti, James Baril and Todd Newton.
A prayer service was held Friday morning at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre and was led by Father Bilodeau.
Following the Mass, family and friends gathered at the Canadian Club in Barre for a time of fellowship and dinner.
A later burial will take place in St. Sylvester Cemetery in Lower Websterville.
