PLYMOUTH — The post office in the Vermont town of Plymouth is offering a special stamp cancellation to mark the town’s 2012 annual Coolidge holiday open house.
The pictorial postmark reads “Holiday Station, Plymouth, Vt.” It’s dated Sunday, Dec. 9 and is designed by John Lutz, a local artist who has designed the postmark for over 10 years.
By request, it will be applied for free to postcards and letters bearing postage on Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., inside the Florence Cilley General Store at the old Plymouth Post Office.
The event is sponsored by the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation.MORE IN Vermont NewsState Police scuba divers and searchers drilled holes in the ice of the frozen Otter Creek in... Full StoryMONTPELIER — The attorney general’s office and the Shumlin administration have joined... Full Story
