Waterbury selects Montpelier firm for municipal center study
WATERBURY — Waterbury officials have chosen a Montpelier architecture firm to evaluate two Waterbury state office complex buildings and design plans for a new municipal center.
Four applicants were interviewed, a pool that village and town representatives and library commissioners narrowed down to two finalists last week.
At a meeting Monday night, Waterbury officials decided that Black River Design Architects will develop a contract proposal to present at a Dec. 3 municipal meeting.
If a contract is formalized, the firm will lead the town, village and library in a planning process to evaluate options with Stanley and Wasson halls at the state office complex for a multi-use municipal center.MORE IN This Just InBy David Delcore Full StoryThe Associated Press Full StoryThe Associated Press Full Story -
