The leaves of the big, old Gingko tree on Barre Street have fallen, earlier than usual and still green, but, as always, all in a single day. Many thanks to the folks who participated in the 50/50 raffle the Montpelier Tree Board sponsored. The money raised will help us continue with a project to plant 50 new trees in the Barre Street neighborhood over the next several years.
