Frustrated with the system
A woman with gun enters courthouse in Barre City? I can’t believe for the life of me that a woman who carries a gun in the courthouse after making death threats to a social worker may only get a $500 fine and one year in jail. That is incomprehensible. If this was a police officer, the woman would be in jail.
The news article went on to state that the woman admitted to the head of corrections she had tried getting the gun through the metal detector. Social workers should not have to walk around with these kind of threats, especially when people like this woman indicate they might act on their threats. The article also goes on to state that this woman gave her gun to her son to throw away. If corrections believes that, they should get a job selling ice to the eskimos. Last but not least, if this woman is sleeping in her car, you can bet your hard-earned tax dollars are paying for her legal defense.
