• Freeze more kale

    Drive by many gardens this time of year and you’ll often see,standing out among the lifeless remains of the growing season, robust kale plants. Kale is one of the hardiest vegetables and can survive hard freezes when temperatures dip into the single digits. Most gardeners believe that a few good frosts actually improves the flavor of kale. Kale is a cruciferous vegetable that is closely related to broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussels sprouts and collards.
